I have been officially retired for 48 hours now. I no longer have to be politically correct. The next few post may just test that theory.<\/p>\n

Each country, and sometimes states, counties and cities in those countries, have rules and laws that seem weird to those not from around there.<\/p>\n

France has a few of these. Well, as they say, the French copy no one, and No One copies the French. Well, in the world of cars and firearms anyway. Not wrong, just …. different.<\/p>\n

The French have a few requirements of things that one must carry on their vehicle at all time. One is a reflective orange or yellow vest to be used in the case of a breakdown where one is standing on the side of the road. OK, that makes sense.<\/p>\n

The next is a first aid kit. Nice sentiment, but a small first aid kit is good for nothing more than a boo boo. Stephan at Knopf Tours sells these two things dirt cheap. Thank you Stephan.<\/p>\n

The third is a breathalyzer kit. So if they stop you, they can check your BAC. Most people that I talked to do not carry these, and those that do have had to throw them out unused as they became too old.<\/p>\n

The fourth relates to the title of this piece.<\/p>\n

You must have gloves with armor on the knuckles. Not a bad thing to have. As you can see in the photo, my shorty gloves have a version of this. Supposedly some people have been fined after being stopped for something else. Seems silly, but I could go on for hours about some of our silly rules.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
